General Midi Drum Rack for Ableton Live

Ever wanted to bring your Guitar Pro or Sibelius drum tracks to Ableton Live and just hear them as they were? Look no further, because General Midi Drum Rack for Ableton Live is a plug-and-play GM Drum Rack with 49 authentic midi sounds neatly sampled, mapped and named into a drum rack.

Having grown up with Guitar Pro before RSE, the old school midi sounds are the default drum sounds for my ears. I found myself missing the ability to sketch out drum parts before making decisions about the sounds and mixing. The GM Drum Rack allows me (and you!) to whip out a drum kit that doesn't have a specific sound, write a drum part, and use the same midi file with kits like the GGD One Kit Wonder series, which all support GM mapped drums.

You can also import your drums exported from Guitar Pro, and hear them as they were before continuing to work on them in Ableton Live.

Note that Guitar Pro's RSE has a more extensive selection of sounds compared to General Midi, so parts written using the RSE are not fully guaranteed to work!
