Universal MIDI Drum Remapper for Ableton Live (EZDrummer, GGD Drums, General Midi, Native Instruments, Ugritone)

The Universal Drum Remapper consists of a pair of Ableton Live Devices that allow you to instantly remap or convert drum patterns in real time from any supported mapping to another in Ableton Live.

For example, this allows you to use GetGood Groove Packs with Superior Drummer. You can even combine drum loops with different mappings within the same project by routing MIDI from two separate Remapper tracks into a single sampler.

The tool consists of a pair of simple MIDI Effect Racks with all Key Zones mapped to separate Pitch effects. The tool uses an intermediate mapping to go between mapping standards. For example, to go from a Ugritone drum pattern to GGD Invasion, you would first add the Ugritone to Intermediate device on the track, and then the Intermediate to GGD Invasion device. The result is a zero-delay conversion of the drum groove from Ugritone to GGD Invasion mapping.

All mappings are clearly labeled, and Key Zones that are not used are mapped with a pitch change of 0 - this allows new mappings to be added very easily. Some mappings have special mappings such as Cc or sequence programming that don't translate to other maps at all. These notes are usually blocked so they don't trigger accidental sounds.
